I've been meaning to post this for quite sometime. It kept being put off due to the bits of editing I didn't feel like doing and uncertainty about posting. My passion whipped me up and the result ended up being a sprawling essay, part biography, part book review, part critical analysis. The following does end up going into quite a bit of detail on the plot, from end to end as it were. I'm not going to deny there are what would crudely be called "spoilers" washed around freely in my discussions. I don't think they should in anyway ruin the experience of reading the book if you haven't already read it, in fact I'd hope they'd make you appreciate it more. I wanted to be frank about this at the beginning.
