There have been several great front page series on various genres and authors that we should all be checking out, run by Mark Summers, and users such as pico and cfk have run great series on online book readings and book discussions. I'm stepping back into DKos after a long time break on the sideline, tired as I was at the nastiness that often got stirred up and the increasing progressive on progressive in-fighting that started appearing. I have, however, been a fairly frequent user here for going on five years now.
So, in order to gradually get back in, I'm going to start a new series, consisting of my admittedly lacking reviews, both to practice expressing my thoughts and reviewing books, (something that, despite being a published short story writer and poet, I am not very good at), and to promote several authors I feel are often underrepresented and that a sizable element of this site's clientele would enjoy and be interested by.
